Cover-up is about shielding details of arms smuggling to terrorists in Syria

Amidst new revelations concerning emails that show the Obama administration conspired to create a phony narrative around the Benghazi attacks, the true purpose behind the cover-up is being obfuscated – the fact that an annex near the U.S. embassy was being used by the CIA to transfer surface to air missiles to terrorists in Syria.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa today issued a subpoena for Secretary of State John Kerry to testify before the committee on May 21 about Benghazi following the release of emails by Judicial Watch which show that the White House crafted a deceptive policy to falsely frame the attack as a spontaneous protest sparked by a YouTube video in order to protect Barack Obama’s image.
Lost in the haze of claims and counter claims is the real reason why the White House is desperate to prevent the attack from coming under any further scrutiny – because it would likely reveal an arms smuggling scandal that could rival Iran-Contra.
In May last year, Senator Rand Paul was one of the first to speculate that the truth behind Benghazi was linked to an illicit arms smuggling program that saw weapons being trafficked to terrorists in Syria as part of the United States’ proxy war against the Assad regime.
“I’ve actually always suspected that, although I have no evidence, that maybe we were facilitating arms leaving Libya going through Turkey into Syria,” Paul told CNN, adding that he “never….quite understood the cover-up — if it was intentional or incompetence”.
At the same time it emerged that the U.S. State Department had hired an Al-Qaeda offshoot organization, the February 17th Martyrs Brigade, to “defend” the Benghazi Mission months before the attack.
Senator Paul was vindicated less than three months later when it emerged that the CIA had been subjecting its operatives to monthly polygraph tests in an effort to keep a lid on details of the arms smuggling operation being leaked.
On August 1, CNN reported that dozens of CIA agents were on the ground in Benghazi during the attack and that the polygraph tests were mandated in order to prevent operatives from talking to Congress or the media about a program that revolved around “secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.”
Although the Obama administration is now openly arming the Syrian rebels, it has been keen to stress that such weaponry has been restricted to so-called “moderate” fighters, despite the fact that it is now widely acknowledged that Al-Qaeda is by far the most potent fighting force in Syria and indeed commands all the other militant groups.
The real truth behind Benghazi is likely to reveal that the Obama administration knowingly and deliberately provided surface to air missiles and other weapons to the most bloodthirsty Al-Qaeda jihadists in Syria who are now busy crucifying Christians while promising to bring their reign of terror to the west.
If a proper investigation into the Benghazi attacks uncovered concrete evidence of this arms smuggling scandal, Obama would face impeachment and many members of his administration would be facing long stretches in prison.
That’s the real reason why the White House is desperate to bury Benghazi.

As the White House continues to spin the Benghazi scandal, it has become increasingly clear that this is an administration that is perfectly content with lying to the American people. The question Americans have to ask themselves is whether they have become an electorate that is content to listen.
White House Press Secretary Jay Carney assumed the latter this week, claiming that new Benghazi documents linking the White House to the cover-up were not actually about Benghazi at all – “it was explicitly not about Benghazi”, Carney said, going so far as to suggest that discussing the cover-up makes for a “conspiracy theory”. In the face of the new evidence, Carney’s words are nothing short of shameless.
Of course, Carney’s explanation makes little sense when taking into account that Judicial Watch’sFreedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit, which revealed the White House connection, explicitly demanded records from the State Department relating to talking points given to Susan Rice about Benghazi.
In an interview yesterday, Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton remarked, “The Benghazi document we received was from the State Department that said, ‘here is a Benghazi document’…this would be the first time we have received documents we didn’t ask for from the Obama administration.”
Perhaps the White House should coordinate with the State Department about the definition of a “Benghazi record”.
Furthermore, these documents were not easily given up. It took Judicial Watch two years of litigation to capture the documents, while the same documents were simply omitted from the Congressional investigation, which raises questions of obstruction. This led Fitton to describe Carney’s response as a “legalistic” one, characterizing the Obama Administration’s principle strategy when it comes to public speaking engagements.
It is important not to forget the context surrounding the origin of the cover up. For a scandal that surfaced two months before the 2012 Presidential elections, it took two years to obtain the documents connecting the White House to the scandal – an abhorrent timeline for the self-described “transparent administration” and one that, with the newly uncovered documents, is more than enough to confirm the White House’s involvement in a cover-up just weeks before a presidential election.
“This brings it right into the White House and it shows that the idea that the CIA created talking points that Susan Rice was using is a big fat lie” Tom Fitton said yesterday. “There was a press operation in the White House that was pushing this line.”

Alex speaks with famed whistleblower William Robert “Tosh” Plumlee, a former CIA contract pilot who covertly flew munitions for the agency, joins the show to break down the extensive cover-up of Benghazi, including the program that saw weapons smuggled out of Benghazi by the CIA to terrorists in Syria.
August 13, 2013
A former U.S. attorney, Joe DiGenova, who is representing a Benghazi whistleblower, told a Washington, D.C., radio station on Monday that 400 surface-to-air missiles were “stolen” in Libya and given to some “very ugly people,” aka al-Qaeda.
“We had troops ready to deploy in Croatia to go (to Benghazi) that night of Sept. 11, 2012 to rescue Americans,” DiGenvoa said. “We have learned that one of the reasons the administration is so deeply concerned — we have been told there were 400 surface-to-air missiles stolen, and that they are on or about in the hands of many people, and that the biggest fear in the U.S. intelligence community is that one of these missiles will be used to shoot down an airliner.”
Earlier this month, Infowars.com confirmed that the CIA had sent the missiles to Syrian “rebels” who are supported by the CIA and funded by the governments of Saudi Arabia and Qatar in an effort to depose the al-Assad regime. Turkey has permitted the mercenaries to establish bases in its country on the border with Syria.
“It turns out that when you dig deep enough through all of the mainstream media mud, you can start to make sense of things,” Anthony Gucciardi wrote for Prison planet.com on August 6. “Even with extremely complex shadow operations like the one we see going on with the Syrian rebels, who are being backed by the Obama administration in what the media pretends is a completely acceptable act of support. In fact, the story now coming from intelligence insiders is that Benghazi was a smokescreen event in order to shuffle in thousands of missiles to the Syrian rebels.”

Obama authorized arming of the so-called Syrian rebels – now consisting primarily of al-Nusra and al-Qaeda fighters – last August.
The Benghazi story was pushed to the forefront of the establishment media spotlight on August 1 whenCNN reported that “dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret. CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.”
Speculation on Capitol Hill has included the possibility the U.S. agencies operating in Benghazi were secretly helping to move surface-to-air missiles out of Libya, through Turkey, and into the hands of Syrian rebels.
It is clear that two U.S. agencies were operating in Benghazi, one was the State Department, and the other was the CIA.
“The Libyan weapons route to Syria has quite possibly been ongoing since Qatari (and Western) special forces and their Libyan Al Qaeda affiliated proxies took a hold of Benghazi. In turn the shipments to Syria have gradually increased as Gaddafi’s stockpiles became available and the lawless possibilities inside Libya expanded,” writes Phil Greaves.
According to DiGenova’s sources, one such “lawless possibility” may now be shooting down commercial passenger airplanes, an act that would certainly grandstand the war on terror in dramatic fashion.
Speaker of the House suppressing information on weapons transfers to Syrian rebels

Pollster Pat Caddell charged Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner of aiding the Obama administration in its cover-up of the Benghazi scandal, claiming Boehner knew about weapons being smuggled out of Libya into the hands of Syrian rebels by the CIA.
“We have John Boehner who is purposely suppressing anything on Benghazi because he knew what we found out this week and he had approved it, these sales, these CIA teams on the ground which were sending weapons from Libya through Turkey to Syrian rebels without congressional approval,” said Caddell during an appearance on Fox News.
“We have a President who has suppressed the truth,” he added, noting how the CIA is now subjecting its operatives working in Libya to polygraph tests at least once a month in order to prevent them from leaking information to lawmakers or the media.
“The Congress won’t act in its own defense,” complained Caddell, with fellow Fox News guest and former Congressman John LeBoutillier agreeing that a cover-up was in full swing.
Boehner has faced mounting criticism from conservatives in recent weeks who are increasingly viewing the Congressman as a hindrance rather than a help in getting to the bottom of the Benghazi scandal. Last month, radio host Mark Levin accused Boehner of having, “cut some kind of deal with Obama.”
Last week, the mainstream media confirmed what Infowars.com and numerous notable political figures had been saying for months – that the attack on the consulate in Benghazi was linked to a CIA arms smuggling operation being run out of an annex situated near the consulate, with the weapons being sent to FSA rebels in Syria who are fighting alongside Al-Qaeda militants.
The notion that arms, including surface to air missiles, were being sent from Benghazi to militants and terrorists in Syria was voiced as far back as last November by Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer during an appearance on the Alex Jones Show.
Despite such contentions repeatedly being voiced by prominent lawmakers such as Rand Paul, the story has only now garnered traction following CNN’s “exclusive” August 1st story which merely mimicked what was already in the public domain to a large extent.
Benghazi whistleblower: ‘I’ve been demoted’ for challenging Susan Rice’s claims
BY JOEL GEHRKE | MAY 8, 2013 AT 3:40 PM
Gregory Hicks, former deputy chief of mission in Benghazi, told Congress today that a State Department official began criticizing his job performance, and he was ultimately demoted, after he asked why U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice attributed the Benghazi attack to an anti-Islamic Youtube video.
“In hindsight, I think it began after I asked the question about Ambassador Rice’s statement on the TV shows,” Hicks said of the criticism during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on the attack today.
Hicks said he asked Assistant Secretary Beth Jones why Rice made the statements that she did on the 9/16/13 Sunday talk shows.
“Her reaction was ‘I don’t know,’ and it was very clear from the tone that I should not proceed with any further [questions],” he told lawmakers.
On September 12, Jones had emailed Hicks and several other State Department officials stating that she told the Libyan government that the Benghazi attack had been carried out by a terrorist group.
“I spoke to the Libyan ambassador and emphasized the importance of Libyan leaders continuing to make strong statements,” Jones wrote in the email, from which Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., read during the hearing. “I told him that the group that conducted the attacks, Ansar al Sharia, is affiliated with Islamic terrorists.”
Jones eventually “delivered a blistering critique of my management style,” Hicks said, “[and] even exclaimed “I don’t know why Larry Pope [the top U.S. diplomat in Libya] would want you to come back.”
Hicks told the committee, “I’ve effectively been demoted from deputy chief of mission to desk officer.”
The murder of Ambassador Stevens in Benghazi was an organized hit to cover up direct arm deals
September 25, 2013
A former CIA gun runner revealed that the U.S. Ambassador to Libya, J. Christopher Stevens, was killed in the Sept. 11, 2012 attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi in order to cover up the U.S. State Department’s direct arm shipments to al-Qaeda.
Discussion on Benghazi attack starts around the 37:00 mark.
William Robert “Tosh” Plumlee started his career as a CIA contract pilot in the late 1950s, delivering guns and ammunition on behalf of the agency to Fidel Castro.
Plumlee confirmed that such arm deals are still common today, with the State Dept. shipping arms to al-Qaeda via the CIA.
During an interview with Alex Jones, Plumlee pointed out that Pat Smith, the mother of an information management officer also killed during the Benghazi attack, received little information from the Obama administration about her son’s murder.
“I began to wonder ‘why won’t they tell her anything?’” He asked. “Then a contact of mine in the Middle East, a high-ranking NATO official, mentioned to me that he had reports that the ambassador [J. Christopher Stevens] had been complaining about the dispatches and cables that he had got from the State Department about the weapons being received and [Islamic] radicals armed, including Stinger missiles.”
According to Plumlee, Steven was ordered to stand down after he asked the State Dept. what he should do about the American arm shipments to al-Qaeda.
“The ambassador and his people had written a series of field reports and cable dispatches advising our State Department that the rebel factions had been armed with U.S. weapons,” he said. “Now my contention is this: if that is the case, why is that classified as a national security matter?”
Plumlee mentioned that Steven’s field notes have not been released by the State Dept.
These revelations suggest that after Stevens told the State Dept. that he did not want al-Qaeda receiving heat seeking missiles, he was killed in the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi which was designed to take out witnesses to the arms transfer and to suppress Stevens’s reports.
The Obama administration then blamed the attack entirely on Islamic protestors enraged by the filmInnocence of Muslims while refusing to answer why U.S. special forces were ordered not to aid Stevens and others during the assault.
The missiles in question, as well as the other weapons given to al-Qaeda, were transported to Libya by C-130s under the Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) program, which operates within the State Dept.
As explained by New York Times best-selling author and former journalist Jim Marrs, the DCS program oversees the shipment of U.S. weapons and training to countries around the world.
Through its own internal investigations, the State Dept. admitted that firearms supplied by the DCS have ended up in the hands of foreign enemies.
Tying it all together, Plumlee stated that the weapons given to al-Qaeda were “U.S. made weapons that came from the DCS program, illegally transported by C-130s” into countries such as Turkey and Jordan and were “dispatched from CIA safe houses to the Syrian rebels.”
As we have documented in the past, the Syrian rebels are predominantly al-Qaeda fighters who want to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad in order to install an Islamic state in Syria.
If al-Qaeda controls Syria, other nations could easily take advantage of the ensuring chaos and Syria’s reduced sovereignty by extracting trillions of dollars in oil revenue from the country.
The Syrian rebels led by the Jabhat al-Nusra Front, the direct offshoot of al-Qaeda in Iraq, were described as the “most effective fighting force in Syria” after filling the void left by the secular Free Syrian Army.
Suffering from severe shortages in weapons and supplies, the Free Syrian Army began losing soldiers to the better armed and equipped al-Nusra Front.
Now it is known why the al-Nusra Front, and al-Qaeda worldwide, never seem to lack arms: they are receiving weapon shipments directly from the State Dept.
